Hire a Flutter app developer

One Flutter codebase, two stores, no compromise on how it feels.

Flutter is the fastest honest route to both platforms when your product is mostly shared logic and shared screens. I've used it in production for fintech and telecom apps — the kind where a payment failing is not an acceptable bug.

Most recently I built and released YAS, an all-in-one telco and mobile-money super-app for the African market: top-ups, bundles, wallet transfers, bill payments, home fibre and gamified rewards, all in one Flutter app on iOS and Android.

What you get

Production fintech, not demos

Secure payment flows, wallet balances, and transaction states that survive bad networks and interrupted sessions.

Hardened against tampering

DexGuard and iXGuard integration to protect sensitive financial data and make reverse engineering genuinely difficult.

Native feel, shared code

Platform-aware behaviour and performance profiling so the app doesn't announce itself as cross-platform the moment someone scrolls.

Both stores, end to end

I own the release: build flavours, signing, review guidelines, staged rollouts on Play and phased releases on the App Store.

Work I've shipped

YAS App

Constelle Business Solutions · Oct 2023 — Apr 2025

An all-in-one telco and mobile-money super-app for the African market, built in Flutter for iOS and Android. YAS lets users top up phone credit, purchase data and call bundles, send money via wallet, pay bills, manage home WiFi and fibre, and access exclusive app-only offers — all with zero-rated data so the app itself is free to use. I worked on the end-to-end release, from feature delivery to App Store and Play Store publishing.

Virgin Mobile Selfcare

Beyond ONE · May 2025 — July 2026

The customer selfcare app for a national mobile carrier, used by hundreds of thousands of people to top up, pay bills and track usage. I own the Top-Up, Payments and Dashboard modules, contribute to the shared Kotlin Multiplatform business layer, and automated the multi-environment release pipeline.

How working together goes

  1. Is Flutter right for this?

I'll say so if it isn't. Heavy platform integration or a design that leans hard on native idioms sometimes argues for something else.

  2. Architecture before features

State management, networking, error handling and the offline story get decided once, up front, so features stay cheap to add.

  3. Build, test, release

Feature slices with unit and widget tests, internal builds on both stores, and a repeatable pipeline.

  4. Maintainable handover

A codebase your next developer can read, with the security and release setup documented.
