Remote mobile app development

A senior mobile engineer in your team's timezone, without the hiring overhead.

I've spent my career working with distributed teams: product managers in one country, designers in another, backend in a third. Remote isn't an adjustment for me, it's how I've always shipped.

I'm based in Lahore (UTC+5), which overlaps comfortably with European working hours and gives a solid morning window with the US east coast. I'm equally happy on a contract with a clear scope or as a full-time engineer in a product team.

What you get

Written by default

Decisions land in the repo, the ticket or the doc — not only in a call someone missed. You can follow the work without attending it.

Visible progress

Builds you can install, not just standup updates. The fastest way to kill remote anxiety is to put the app in someone's hand.

Senior judgement, not just hands

Architecture discussions, code review, release planning, and the honest 'this will hurt us later' conversation when it's needed.

Whole-product view

Telecom, fintech, healthtech and consumer. I've seen how these products fail and what it costs to fix them late.

Virgin Mobile Selfcare

Beyond ONE · May 2025 — July 2026

The customer selfcare app for a national mobile carrier, used by hundreds of thousands of people to top up, pay bills and track usage. I own the Top-Up, Payments and Dashboard modules, contribute to the shared Kotlin Multiplatform business layer, and automated the multi-environment release pipeline.

YAS App

Constelle Business Solutions · Oct 2023 — Apr 2025

An all-in-one telco and mobile-money super-app for the African market, built in Flutter for iOS and Android. YAS lets users top up phone credit, purchase data and call bundles, send money via wallet, pay bills, manage home WiFi and fibre, and access exclusive app-only offers — all with zero-rated data so the app itself is free to use. I worked on the end-to-end release, from feature delivery to App Store and Play Store publishing.

How working together goes

  1. Tell me the problem

A short message with what you're building and your timeline is enough to start.

  2. A call, then a proposal

Thirty minutes to understand the product, then a written scope, timeline and rate.

  3. A paid trial slice

For longer engagements, we start with a small, real piece of work. You see how I work before committing.

  4. Steady delivery

Weekly builds, clear written updates, and a codebase that stays yours.
